Make Your Own Hair Conditioner Using Lemongrass Essential Oil

I also have gotten used to making my own toiletry product using essential oils with organic shampoo, conditioner, bath and shower gels and body lotion. I’ve recently began to make my own hair conditioner.
Lemongrass Essential Oil is my favorite scent of all essential oils because it is so crisp and clean. All I do is create a 3% dilution blend by mixing 15 drops or Lemongrass Essential Oil with an organic, unscented conditioner. This makes about and ounce of hair conditioner. It lasts me about a week. I like making an ounce at a time to keep it nice and fresh.
How To Ward Off Mosquitos Using Citronella and Lemongrass Essential Oils

Believe it or not, there is a natural way to ward off those pesky mosquitos. On the East Coast, it has been very wet so you can only imagine how bad the mosquitos are. You know that most candles that are made use Citronella as the scent to ward off those mosquitos. I found a way to use Citronella and Lemongrass Essential Oils to ward off those pesky mosquitos.
I tpyically make my own organic hand and body lotion at home. What I did was added six drops of Citronella Essential Oil and six drops of Lemongrass Essential Oil to one ounce of my organic hand and body lotion. I rubbed in on to my extremeties (not my face) and it was like a mosquito forcefield.
The first time I used this blend was at a drive-in theatre. I literally watched the mosquitos fly down and fly away. This blend really works for me.
The botanical name for Lemongrass Organic Essential Oil is cymbopogon citratus. It has a strong, lemony and herbaceous scent.
Lemongrass Organic Essential Oil has healing properties that includes analgesic, antidepressant, antimicrobial, antiseptic, astringent, bactericidal, deodorant, fungicidal, insecticidal and sedative. Lemongrass Organic Essential Oil is commonly used in treating acne, athlete’s foot, excessive perspiration, flatulence, insect repellent, muscle aches, oily skin, scabies and stress.
There are so many synthetic chemicals in store bought deodorant! Since I read and researched the ingredients on a bar of deodorant, I no longer wish to put this directly on my skin. To boot, your underarm skin is the most sensitive skin on your entire body.
Here’s what you do… Take an empty spray bottle and mix in 15 drops of sandalwood essential oil, five drops of lemongrass and lavender essential oils, 5 fresh sage leaves, 2 ounces of witch hazel and 1 tablespoon of alcohol. Shake well every time before you spray on your underarms. Both my husband and I are using this now and we no longer worry about chemicals.
